Norgen's Urine Preservative is designed for the rapid preservation of DNA, RNA, microRNA and proteins from fresh urine samples. The Urine Preservative prevents the growth of Gram-negative and Gram-positive bacteria and fungi, and also inactivates viruses allowing the resulting non-infectious samples to be handled and shipped safely. Moreover, the buffer preserves exfoliated cells, bacterial cells, and viruses without lysing them. In addition, the Urine Preservative eliminates the need to immediately process or freeze samples and allows the samples to be shipped to centralized testing facilities at ambient temperatures. Electron Microscopy Sciences Fix-'N'-Temp Container
This container will permit rapid specimen handling and provides temperature information during microwave irradiation. A liquid crystal strip is affixed into the bottom of a 35 mm diameter petri dish and covered with a thin layer of EMbed resin. The temperature range is 35 degree C-60 degree C. This container is ideal for tissue fixing by microwaves. The two active temperature windows are 45 degree C and 50 degree C.
